Ballimore Farm Estate lies about 2 hours North of Glasgow in the hills of Argyll. 1.5 miles North of the village of Kilchrenan and 6 miles South of the community of Taynuilt, nestled in the hills along the B845, with Ben Cruachan as its spectacular backdrop.

At Ballimore Estate you will often meet the Highland cows and sheep on your drive up the road “Beoloch a’ Bharain” to the Estate House.
The properties, including The Barn, are based in the inner grounds where amongst the terraced lawns and lines of 400 year old trees you will find the ruin of the Barons 16th century fortified home.
A number of beautiful walks let you explore the immediate vicinity by foot or bike on an ancient pilgrim’s route now a walk called “The Kilchrenan Circle” running through the estate.

Directions to Ballimore by car
There are two routes leading from Glasgow. Take the M8 towards Erskine Bridge. At junction 30, exit and follow the A898 signposted âLoch Lomondâ.
In Tarbet, you can choose between Loch Lomond or the âRest and be Thankfulâ and Inveraray routes:
Inveraray Route: Proceed straight onto the A83 towards Arrochar, passing through the picturesque âRest and Be Thankfulâ towards Inveraray. Turn right under the white archway and follow the A819. After enjoying the scenic views of Kilchurn Castle, merge onto the A85. Follow this road through Lochawe towards TaynuiltâŠ
Along the shores of Loch Lomond: Turn right at the Hotel in Tarbet and continue on the A82 along Loch Lomond for approximately 40 miles. Stay left at the Crianlarich bypass and continue on the A82 towards Tyndrum. After passing âThe Real Food Cafeâ and the âGreen Wellyâ in Tyndrum, turn left onto the A85 towards Oban (for around 23 miles). Drive along Loch Awe and through Inverawe towards Taynuilt. Shortly after the 30-mile/hour signs for Taynuilt, take a sharp left onto the B845 towards Kilchrenan.
Exercise caution on the B845, a single track road through Glen Nant, busy with local wildlife.
Continue for 6 miles, passing several laybys. After a sharp s-bend, youâll pass a Farm, followed by a light-pink Cottage on the left. Loch Tromlee will appear below the fields on the left. Tromlee Woodlands is part of the Estate. You’ll pass two white houses on the right and a tractor store on the left.
The entrance to our private road is 100 meters ahead on your left, marked by a large sign âBallimore Farm Estate.â
The private road, unsuitable for sports cars, leads 1.5 miles to the Main House, Cottage, and Lodge.
